Scouting at Xinmin: Empowering Holistic Development in our Youths
At Xinmin Primary, Scouting is more than just a CCA — it is a platform for holistic growth and character formation. Our Scouts learn essential life skills, build strong values, and foster lasting friendships through hands-on experiences and meaningful community service. Guided by dedicated leaders, they grow into confident, responsible individuals who are ready to contribute positively to society.
Inspired by Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book
Inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, Scouting at Xinmin Primary brings the spirit of the “Man Cub” to life in every Scout. Through adventure, teamwork, and service to the community, our Cub Scouts learn to live by the values reflected in the “Law of the Pack” — integrity, respect, and responsibility. Within our supportive “jungle,” every Scout discovers their potential to lead and serve.
Cub Scout Activities: Adventure, Skill-Building, and Character Development
Our Cub Scout programme provides rich and engaging experiences that nurture resilience, leadership and teamwork. Rooted in the Scout Law, activities include camping, outdoor exploration, knot-tying, nature-based learning, and team challenges. Our Scouts also participate in community service initiatives and environmental sustainability efforts, developing compassion, social responsibility, and a heart for service.
Fostering Teamwork, Leadership, and Character
Through collaborative projects, camps and service-learning opportunities, our Cub Scouts learn to work effectively in teams, take initiative, and demonstrate leadership. These fun yet purposeful activities cultivate confidence, responsibility, and embody the Scout Motto of “Be Prepared.”
Earning Badges and Recognising Achievements
During CCA sessions, our Xinmin Scouts work towards earning progress and proficiency badges through structured activities and skill assessments. These badges recognise their effort, growth, interests and talents, instilling a strong sense of pride and accomplishment whilst motivating them to strive for excellence.
